Aztek..just stoped

Hi..
I have a Pontiac Aztek...and I was in the drive thru
and put it in park and the Aztek engine shut off...
all the lights on dash board were flashing and I hear a lot of fast clicking coming from the fuse area.. then the lights on the dash dimmed out and I went to start it and nothing no clicking and it would not come out of park..would not turn over..
I have some people offer a battery jump..but nothing happened..
after I got it towed home..the tow truck driver offered another boost and nothing ..he moved the wires around and the power came back but I could take it out of gear..but when I put the key in....no starter sound no reaction..the key just turns
anyone have any ideas

Well if he moved wires, which wires, the battery connections? if so you had and may still have a loose connection so the battery is dead, has to be recharged, and cables properly tightened.
