I have a car I bought from my daughter in law. On the way to get it to me, she got into an accident with a semi and hit one of the back rear tires of the car. They had to change the tire. It was mangled. Ever since then the tire and the alignment has been goofed up. It would make the car rock and sway, even bottomed out into a 360 in the snow. Whereas other cars weren't doing that. Last week I started noticing noises from the back. When I would start my car in the morning, I would put it in reverse to wedge out of my parking spot, and when I put on the brake, the back would seem to lower a little and it felt like the tire is crunching. I would put in drive and go forward and it would seem to pop into place. It also happens when I make sharp turns. When I drive on the highway, I'm always nervous because it feels like I'm going to lose a tire or something! The car seems to shake tremendously. I know my front shocks are bad because when I push down on the front, the bounce really bad but the rear seems ok. I've tried to look for help elsewhere online, but do not know where to go.? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is like asking how to perform a heart transplant so you can do it yourself rather than seeing a specialist. Common sense would be to get it to a shop so it can be inspected by a Professional. Obviously there is more damage besides the tire. Could be bent rim, bent suspension parts, damaged or bent hub etc...Also, a 92 Grand Am doesn't have shocks in the front, it has struts.

Suggestion: Get to a shop for a Proper inspection

I think you have a bent rim or a tire separating the steal belts. Dangerous!
