Every time my daughter goes to start her car it will not start because the battery is dead. We have put four batteries on this car in one year. We had each battery tested and it showed to be good alternator shows to be good, so we put a switch on her battery to unplug her battery each time she gets out which is very dangerous. Has anybody ever had this problem where battery and alternator both good but you have to jump it off to get it to crank? Sounds to me I have a wiring problem but where do I start looking for this wiring problem? I have had several people to put it on a machine and diagnose the issue and they found nothing. I know this probably sounds very crazy and that’s why I’m asking if anyone has ever had this issue. Thank you

Lots of people have had this issue on many different kinds of cars. Assuming the diagnosis of the battery and charging system are OK, that leaves parasitic drain. An ammeter has to be connected and the car's computer systems given enough time to go to sleep. If the ammeter registers a drain of over about 50ma there is a drain. Fuses can be pulled and then the ammeter reading rechecked until the problem circuit is identified.
