Hello everyone,
It has been a while since my last post, but all is going well. Some much needed maintenance has been done to the trusty 95 SE Coupe and as stated, a big trip is in the near future. The little missus and me have been married for coming up on 31 years and for anniversary we are headed to the great Rocky Mountains in Colorado. All of the running gear is brand new in the front end including new tires, half shafts, and wheel hubs. This car is as smooth as glass at all speeds and very stable. I have a check list I am going to complete before the trip that covers the entire car top to bottom and front to back. I am guessing that the little 3100 V-6 will return around 30 to 33 mpg on the highway, so for a thousand mile trip one way, about three tanks of fuel to get out there and the same to get back. Maybe more maybe less, these are just guesstimates. One thing is for sure, the reliability factor is NOT an issue. This car runs great and I have every expectation that there will be no emergencies on the side of the road. But for a little added insurance, a small tool kit and some spare fluids and parts will go along for the ride. Has anyone gone before me and logged a long trip in their own Grand Am such as this? If so, what kind of fuel economy did you get, and any suggestions you want to throw my way that I may have over looked? I'd post my to do list, but it is quite lengthy.

Going to miss the Corvette, but we will be gone only a week.
