• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I have a 2001 Grand Am with security issues. It has broken down five times in the last year and a half. I've had to replace the battery and cables, the starter, and two pass lock cylinder chips. It is in the garage again with the exact same problem. The garage I take it to can not find the problem. I took it to a new garage and they think it is the fuel pump. But it is the exact same problem everytime. the security light. I wish I would of seen the ten minute leave alone therory before now. I will certainly try it. Thank you.

does your ignition key have the chip like the ones pictured below? if so you should be able to completely bypass the VATS system all together relatively easily and definitely cheaply.
