I have A/C blowing cold on the right, and warm on the left. Would this be the temp blend door actuator located on the drivers side, or are there other possibilities? It does move significantly, and will blow hot air, I`m just not sure if it`s enough in the other direction to blow cold. Seems to only get to the point of current outside air temperature.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

it sounds like a blend door issue

Yes,,I swapped out the temp control drivers side blend door actuator(with new) with no improvement. Before reinstalling the old one I manually turned the shaft, and it seemed to be connected. Had resistance, and the thump of the door closing. Do you think the mode, or passenger side actuator doors could cause a problem like this? I get what appears to be full movement with all actuators,,,right temp/left temp/mode.

Thanks

As it turns out, it was the A/C condenser.

Took it to an ACE mechanic I know, and he figured it out. Naturally,, I came across the post below afterwards,,,was dated 2010.
I don`t think he`ll mind, as we`re all here in various forums to help each other, right?

It`s a different make/model,,but still applies. Hope this helps someone else avoid much of the time, and trouble I went through. Oh well,,I learned a lot in the process :-).

"I just wanted to update members of the forum on my 2001 Intrigue GLS AC problem/fix...

The AC condenser was ultimately found to be the damaged culprit. After a couple of dye administrations and AC coolant recharge cycles the leak became visible in two locations on the condenser. Not "easily" noticed untill the AC condenser was finally removed.

Recall, the passenger side was initially giving off "cool/cold" air (driver side warm air). Well, after a couple days further the passenger side was delivering warm air too.

The retail cost to replace by mechanic was ~$400. Two different auto repair guides listed the estimated time to repair at 2hrs and 2.7hrs. The mechanic said it wasn't as difficult as first thought and it didn't take too much time or effort to repair. Therefore 2 hr is generously accurate for time in a repair cost estimate. National part stores list AC condenser anywhere from ~$140-$180 for part.

Its been almost 2 weeks and the AC has been amazing, delivering very cold air. So it looks as if it is finally fixed."
