• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I own a 64 lemans sports coupe. I bought the car in june of 65 because the police in san diego, ca, were not to busy to harrass a boy ( 17) in a metalic blue 56 chevy with a big 6 motor and a 3 speed tranny. I sold the 150 chevy and used the $500 to down on the said pontiac.
397000 miles later I still have questions. About 10 years ago I went to pontiac club meet here in ca. I wrote all the pertainent details regarding the car on the placard. I was told that the car I had never existed and as I assume I was a big liar.
The cars I saw at the club had very little original equipment and most had been massaged by body men and paint experts, no less the trailer queens.
This car was constructed before the GTO was an option, I believe it was a car was operated by the owners son of the dealership as we talked the staff said the paperwork was not a new car but a dealer demo car.
I drove this car to 95000 miles as a delivery car for newspapers, my job and I rebuilt the engine in a short time to do my work.
I have a car that no one wishes to bless although that is not my problem, this is a 326 ,four barrel, 10 1/2 to one compression with a muncie 4 speed and an aluminum bellhousing, a factory tachometer, bucket seats, no console, no power equipment other than a power antenna. I will try to enclose a photo. If you have info for me or understand my dilema , please email me, bob

welcome to the forum. You state you have a 64 Lemans with a 326, 4BBl, and 4 speed. It's not clear what your question is. Have you tried www.phs-online.com to retrieve the original paper work for the car?
