I have a frame off restoration project of a 1972 Pontiac lemans. i removed the body from the frame last year and shes ready to be put back on except for one problem. There are 8 body mount locations on my car for each side. the one located in the middle and under behind the rocker panel had the bolts break off on me. there rotted and rusted on the nuts. i cutt open from the top of the floor pan and discovered the the cage nuts are like a diamond shape. nothing seems to work getting these threads out of the nut, I tried so many restoration websites and cant find this diamond shapped nut anywhere. anyone know what Im talking about and where I can find these??? What specificlly is the name of the part anyway?

The Body Mount Nuts or Cage nuts are just plain Square Nuts with the cage securing then into position. This was done to allow some movement of the nuts to help the line workers get the bolts started and secured. They also happen to be the cheapest style nut to purchase

The link is to a google search for Square nuts.
