I attempted to remove the wheel hub bearing, but had a ridiculously hard time removing the brake caliper. (bolt was rounded inside) Once I finally got it off, I accidentally let it drop.
I'm pretty sure that drop is what's causing a new leak in the brake line. When I press down there is no pushback and a visible mist of brake fluid sprays out.
I didn't even get around to replacing the wheel hub because it needed a long torx and I didn't want to strip any bolts I didn't have replacements for.
I placed a new caliper figuring I may as well justify the hassle, but now I don't think it's even pushing on the pads. I assume the leak is the cause of that.
All of this is drivers' side.
I'm worried I need to replace the entire brake line, and considering how this learning exerience is going, I don't know if it's a good idea.
