hi guys i have a 1979 trans am 5.0 301 and brake pedal is going to the floor on pump up on the pedal there is a slight pedal there but sinks slowly to the floor on inspection of the brake lines i can see no leaks at calipers or pipes so im thinking master cylinder seals or if you guys have experienced this before what can it be.

cheers

What is the brake fluid level? Is it "wet" at the back of the master cylinder where it attaches to the power brake booster?

Doug in P.R.

hi had a look tonight nothing obvious fluid was low in the front compartment of the master cylinder level conpartment,so the fluid must be going somewhere took wheels of all four and bled all four calipers front driverside first pump of brake no fluid second pump fluid there all the rest were fine so confussed how air got in there. lol now im rhyming words

also have a pic for you to look at this is attached to the driverside inner wing and has brake pipes going to either end of it and 2 wires coming from it but are not connected to anything what is it
