Brake/turn signal problem Please Help!!!

I have a 2002 sunfire .... My right rear brake light and turn signal went out(front blinker still going but its recognizing the problem with the rear[blinking really fast]).. but the tail light still burns... i tried replacing the bulb and checked all the fuses to no avail....all three wires look fine too... I was thinking to change the socket but wanted some other opinions before i went out and bought anything else.... Im sure its somthing simple im overlooking but please please help ... im trying to avoid an overpriced visit to the shop....

sunfire light problem

check all wiring closely, unfortunately this will require a meter to check for resistance we have nicknamed these "some wires" in stead of sunfire. i work at a GM dealer

I replaced all my exterior and interior lights with Leds. Except the headlights of course. Boy was that an adventure. Its was more like a nightmare getting the turn signals to function properly and to blink. Leds draw far less power than incadecents causing system to function like I had bulbs out. It looks good though and it finally works.
