Hello everyone, I`m into some $$ building this 1979 Trans am, a lot of work is completed, ran into a problem with the short block, repulled the motor. stripped it down to the short block,
and sent it out.... ok now, crankshaft was shipped to get polished from the local builder ??? now it`s lost?? can`t get it. thanks to Covit 19 business closed...... really.... moving on, i need to buy one. any suggestions??
it`s a Pontiac 400 crankshaft 3 inch diameter, not sure if its a 4.250 or a 4.100 stroke? this is why i sent the work out, i`m not sure of all the spec`s. i don`t need a steel or forged
crankshaft. cast is fine. I`d like to find something done, drop in ready and new. No balancing or cutting, then i`ll send it to the builder so he can complete his end of it. (the builder is an ol guy that feels terrible, and i can`t rough him up to much) So i appreciate any suggestions. just don`t want to buy something that`s wrong from Summitt or where ever. Thank you for listening
