SOOOOOOOO, I am one seized tranny mount bushing bolt away from my tranny removal and my Stage 2 FX Racing Clutch set rebuild:cool:. While Im in here, is there anything I can make sure to replace/maintenance? I am doing my valve cover gasket rn as well. I have it on jack stands at my work, literally right outside my shop :D So I have limited time for this specific job which kinda blows. Its taken me 3 hours on my day off, and 2 days slowly edging through it while working ( as allowed per supervisors ofc:D).

Ill post pics asap!

1. replacing slave cylinder
2. drain and refill trani

Good luck with your project

Update on the " Hellfire "

My clutch, slave cyl, and pressure plate should be here this week. My engine and tranny have been split the entire time ofc but I'm worried about debris. Should I blow out my gearbox through the shifter fork mount? Or pour some extra tranny fluid into it and " flush " it? I will be filling it through this port as well. The fill and drain plugs are pretty stubborn because LITERALLY I'm the first one to service this clutch. I can totally tell. But other than that.. its just brake clean the parts, line it up and *click* from the torque wrench right?

PS. My CV axles are just loosely bolted through the hubs to prevent the crushing of the bearings. The halfshaft dragged on the ground LIGHTLY for id say less than 20ft. It was covered by a rag and a zip tie but that came loose when I had to move her. Is it damaged to the point where I cant use it? Like itll get stuck or sumn? Ill post pics in the AM of the build. I'm not too worried about the axle just want someone .02 $.

Get the correct size/type socket to remove the fill and drain ports. Dont know what yours looks like but they make 8 point sockets for square male plugs and 4 point sockets for square female plugs.
You have to judge the condition of the halfshaft.

Helppp :(

I got her all up and running! HAZZAH But sadly- an hour after driving it and breaking the new clutch in.. I ran out of gas :D I was so excited to drive I forgot to put good gas in the tank rather just run the old 2 week gas. She sputtered and died at a very low speed. I tried to start her, but my shit starter tried a couple times to work properly. *whirrrrr* goes the first time. A little *whir and a slight catch the second time. The car then was barely even turning the starter and I could just hear flywheel. Then the key turn was just *silence. Starter was dead. Anyway- I took the starter out and GOD FORBID ofc I didn't take note of where the wires went. There are two small red wires, a purple wire, and a black wire coming from the relay (whos mount snapped MORE OFC) on the front of the car. Where do these wires go to? I looked up AllData and even that only shows a purple and a red for some reason.

PS. I tested my battery, and it was fine. However it did have a low charging voltage it said. I didn't however test my starter. Silly me.

have you googled for a starter curcuit wiring diagram for the year of your Sunfire?

Update on the " Hellfire "

My goodness my luck has been SO BAD with my build. I got everything running again. YES! Well, yes for about an hour an a half. I had air in my coolant so my car wasn't cooling properly, and I bled that no problem. After driving the car, a little around 25mph-35mph what SOUNDED like the injectors not firing properly or a series of misfires. Now granted, downshifting from 3-2 for the entrance ramps- my car would suddenly die. Turn the key while rolling and shes right back up. I knew SOMETHING was up with fuel delivery. I ignored it. As of its last drive the UPPER radiator hose blew off multiple times covering the upper bellhousing of the tranny, and COATING my ICM, crank sensor, coil packs, etc the final spew. This was mid U-turn and upon turning UP a hill. After that she wouldn't start up. No fuel or spark. Compression SOUNDS okay. Replaced crank sensor, coil packs, and I have some plug wires as well ready. My question is.... the 2.2L has no fuel port for pressure testing. My regulator IS bad... smell of gasoline from the interior of the vaccum line. But if I remove the line going FROM the fuel filter TO the gas tank after priming my pump; It should spray out all over IF the pumps working right? Also, starting fluid doesn't get a reaction either. For the spark matter ill be using a multimeter to check my ICM tomorrow. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease help.

a fuel pressure test kit should come with a fitting that has a port on it, try renting one.

Electrical BLAH

I checked for power at the PCM fuse under the hood, good. Fuel pump relay, good. I then went underneath to find my PCM.... It had one of three connectors yanked out but the pins seems to be okay- plugged that back in. Figured that was the main reason. Car still wont turn over. PCM is getting power to the connectors and the OBD works so the PCM cant be dead... I think this is a dead ICM and a possible dead fuel pump relay/pump. Havent checked the pressure but at 41PSI I think ill know the second I yank my fuel filter line out. My battery and alternator are PERFECT even after cranking my car over multiple times over various days the readings were still around 12v.
