In 2009 I bought a 2007 Pontiac Torrent; I was able to secure a 5yr Warranty at the time of purchase. I've had nothing but battery problems with my Torrent so when my warranty was about to expire I didn't get it fixed in time and they said they wont sell me a warranty without getting the problem resolved.
Car was finally all paid off in March 2015 and I received a call today asking if I was interesting in purchasing a type of coverage that would help with Mechanical breakdowns such as Transmission.
Unfortunately I kind of got hung up on from the other side because I was trying to explain my battery issue and wasn't sure if I still could get the mechanical side of things or not.
I'm ultimately asking if these "Outside" mechanical coverage is pretty decent or not; or if I should always go with what my Car Dealer is selling/offering
Thanks
