Bypass A/C Compressor

I have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with dead A/C. The compressor is making a horrible squealing noise and is getting worse. Can I bypass the compressor (take the serpentine belt off of it) and if so, where can I get the appropriate length replacement serpentine belt? I don't want to replace the compressor because this car has 260K+ miles (yes, THAT'S a LOT of MILES)

I'm new here so I appreciate anyone's help.

If it is the quad 4 use a 35 inch belt and run it with the smooth side on the tensioner. not the best setup, but it works.
