Cab filter 97 Sunfire

My daughters car is throwing less air through heater vents than last winter, is there a cab filter in the heater system?. I had one on my 01 gmc truck that would plug every so often.

Check the coolant in the coolant jar, if it's low it can cause little to no heat cause not enough coolant is going to the heater core. Or you could have air bubbles in the system.

I have never heard or seen a cabin air filter in the Sunfires or any vehicle with single zone air.

There is good heat coming from vents, but very little air stream. I removed the plastic by the wipers and i can see directly into fan motor so there is no restriction there.

Does this occur on all fan speeds? Are you sure the lower speeds are working? There is a resistor which can burn out and is used for all speeds except high.

If you can see the fan, there should be no filter.

The blower in my son's Sunfire was full of leaves and trash. Cleaning it out helped the air volume.
