can 96 firebird be a ws6 and not trans am?

What's up guys. Just run my Vin to my 96 firebird and the codes say it has ws6 option but my car doesn't have any trans am upgrades?

how does the VIN tell you there is a WS6 package on your car? It only could tell you that you have an LT1

I see that the option 7th from the top says ws6? What does that mean?

I know you are showing a list of option codes but where is this list from and how does it specifically relate to your car/VIN, is this the list for your car? The WS6 was more than just an engine it was a complete package which could be a Trans Am or a Formula, and that Formula package is listed under the WS6 package. A detailed description is on this link

Yes these are my specific codes on my car, did a Vin look up and it shows all codes and meanings, like pic I posted shows^. Thanks for the link, so a formula can be a ws6. Doesn't have to be trans am to be ws6.
wondering because I Just purchased my bird and it came with ws6 badges in glove box that I want to put on, but didn't want to sport what I didn't have.
