Firebird? Have a 1997 Pontiac Firebird W/Anti-theft security system.Radio was removed without disabling first.No code response.Cannot get radio to turn back on after putting it back in.PLEASE HELP ME.

The anti theft system in the radio usually requires a code which if you don't have it you will need to get it by a series of pushing the series of buttons in a order to get a series of numbers , but then you need to send those numbers to a GM dealer so they can get the actual code ..
the theftlock systems are set so unless you have the 4 number code you can't unlock it and you can't get the code directly out of the radio...

There is a very good vid on youtube that shows how to do this, they even give you a pontiac phone number to call, & several dealer codes to use to get your code. Here's a link:
