I've posted this question once before but all I've gotten was technical answers. I'm looking to get a 2004 Pontiac GTO in the middle of June. But with the way gas prices are I'm not sure. So, I'm wondering if the Goat will run off of regular unleaded? I just need a simple yes or no. I want a car that is great for performance and pretty well on fuel that's under 18k (used). I don't think the gto gets that bad fuel economy. It's better than the new G8. Let me know if it will and if your a owner of a GTO, which fuel you used, and for how long? Oh! and if you've had any problems. I look forward to your responses

Noooo it only takes premium if you look on the gauges for the gas tank i believe it says Premium fuel only. but i could be wrong.

You can run regular unleaded but don't expect the car to run at peak output or get decent mileage with 87 octane .. the engine computer will compensate for low octane fuel but it will not run good ...
