My mother was borrowing my car this morning and then I get a phone call from her saying that the car is making grinding noises when it turns in any direction, that it's extremely hard to turn (like it has no power steering) and there was a burning smell.
I drove the car over to my buddies to attempt to diagnose this issue and on the drive here i did not notice any burning but I found a GREAT degree of difficulty when turning hard (anywhere from 45 degree to 90 degree turns) but sweeping turns and minor movements of the wheel are just peachy.
I'm heading outside to check the power steering fluid but other than that being gone I have NO idea what else could cause this.
Car: 1995 Grand Am SE 3.1L V6 Automatic
