My driver side window goes a inch or so and stops. Then takes a few minutes to come back up. Is this because the motor is dead or is it off track? Also, my car has recently started making a squeaky noise coming from the passenger side. It almost sounds like squeaky brakes but it happens while I'm driving. It happens while I'm driving straight and gets louder when I turn the wheel to the right, but stops if I turn it to the left. What could be causing this? Thank you.

it don,t sound like the motor or it,s off the track. if the motor was bad it would,nt go that far and if it was off the track it would fall down. sounds like the window is binding in the track. try adjusting the track and spray some silicone spray in the track to make it slick.
