Sometimes my car does these three things. First it will start missing and i'll give it gas and it'll barely keep moving, then my power steering will lock up or something and i can't hardly turn the steering wheel and then my brakes locks up too and its hard to press them also. My car has done this several time over the past couple months. What is causing this?

The power steering and power brakes depend on the engine to work correctly. (Engine drives the pump!!)

The engine problem is what you need to get fixed.

IF it happens intermittently, it is usually either the carburetor, (maybe water in the gas,) or the ignition.
First, I would try a gas line anti-freeze/water remover. (These are alcohol based, and absorb the water so it will go through the carb and burn off in the engine.)
IF that doesn't help, then it is most likely an ignition problem.

You need to replace the fuel pump on the car its very common in the grand am's while you do that replace the filter as well.
