changing shift knob?

does anyone here knows how to change shift knob from a 2004 Pontiac sunfire?

i bought an aftermarket shift knob for my 2004 Pontiac sunfire but unfortunately i cannot remove my old shift knob. i try to pull it , turn it clockwise , turn it counter clockwise but no luck.

there should be a screw or clip holding it in place..

the knob comes right off with force, i just took one from a 2004 and put it in my 95. is that that shifter that you have to pull up to get into reverse? aftermarket might not work with that, but you never know. you can just get it off and check.

It is the one you have to pull up to go into reverse. Oh well. I'll just change the knob once I get a short throw shifter then.
