Hey I’m getting a u1301 and u1000 code how do I go about fixing that I can’t afford a mechanic so I’m trying to figure out what I could do from home I can get access to all the tools needed just trying to find out where to start any help would be appreciated

Did you Google "U1301 Pontiac" or "U1301 Chevrolet "?
It is a GM specific code and is related to voltage readings the ECM is seeing from another module. It's not a question of tools, it's the GM specific test sequence needed and a tech 2 or similar diagnostic device to run the tests. You can start with battery connections and grounds.
