I got this loud clicking noise( sounds like the blinker is still on and its not) it's coming from behind the hazard switch or lower just above the fuse panel. anyone know what this might be? Is it the turn signal switch causing this? I read some stuff but no real answers. Thank in advance.

It's probably the hazard switch

My thinking is the Hazard light flasher or the turning signal light flasher only works when the switch to either has been activated.

once either switch is on, the flasher acts like a relay completing the circuit allowing the lights to come on, once the lights are on, the flasher releases the contacts.

The timing of the flashes are load regulated this is why you need a heavy duty flasher when towing a trailer, or the flasher goes faster when you blow out a bulb.

So my opinion the noise couldn't be the flasher if all the lights work normally.

For now check everything in your car lights turning signals, heater air conditioner radio
power seats ( everything ) take note of what works and what doesn't.

if you find for example everything works but you cannot get hot or cool air to each level like nothing comes out on your feet when the air is diverted to the floor this will give you a clue where to start the diagnostic process.

If everything and I mean everything works like it should you or someone will need to dig into the dash, and lay hands on the offending part. if you cannot identify it take a picture of the part and any part numbers on it and post them here.

This may prove difficult if the part is inaccessible with the dash in place.

Like any problem start off by keeping it simple and check all the basics.

start at the battery insure the connections are clean free of corrosion, check the charging system to insure the car is getting the proper voltage and amperage.

Check all the fuses, make sure each relay is securely in place.

Look for any signs of poor workmanship from aftermarket radio installs to aftermarket alarm systems.

If you have got to this point and still haven't had any luck stumbling across an obvious problem. connect a scan tool to the car and check for codes both hard codes and soft codes.

Still no luck? report back to us and explain further exactly when you hear this noise. Is it on all the time with the key on engine off? does the car have to be running to hear the noise?does it have to be driving down the road to hear the noise?

Pretty much the more information you provide the more helpful we can be.
