I've got a 2005 Sunfire. The plastic housing on the end of the clutch master cylinder(that attaches to the post on the clutch pedal) broke off, so having to replace the clutch master cylinder. Why you can't just replace the plastic piece...

Does anyone know how the hydraulic line disconnects from the cylinder? It's not the white plastic sleeve like they used to be. There's a slit on both sides of the plastic housing and there's a piece of metal in there. Looks like some kind of clip, but doesn't appear to come out with a screwdriver. Hopefully that makes sense. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

you have to remove the clip, try a small flat blade
