Hello to all who know things about fiero's.
I am looking at buying a '86 fiero, gt 4spd, with a 3.4L The guy said the clutch seems to be seized, how hard is it to change a clutch out, and how would i do it, I do not have access to a lift, just jack stands.

Thanks.

You do not need a lift.
You need to disconnect the top of the struts, remove the few items on the trunk side firewall, Dog bone motor mount, and disconnect the main harness behind the center glove box as well as the battery cables. Once this is done place the jack stands just forward of the cradle so that the rear of the car is about 36" off the ground. Place a hydraulic floor jack on the center rear of the cradle and remove the two rear cradle bolts.
The cradle with engine/trans, suspension will swing down (using the front cradle mounting points like a hinge) You just need to lower it enough so the transaxle bell housing can clear the upper frame rail. Finally a 4X4 across the strut towers and a heavy chain attached to the real of the engine block to support it.
Remove transaxle, changed clutch.

Okay, awesome, a clutch should run me about 300 bucks right?
