So I'm looking at this 1985 Fiero but I'm reluctant because it needs a new clutch slave cylinder. I know its not an expensive part, but I'm wondering, do I have to drop the transmission and take it apart, or do I just un-bolt something, because I've heard different things from different people. Thanks for the help:)

You just disconnect the fluid line and unbolt it. No need to drop the trans or open it.
Then install new on and bleed the system.
