Connector on long tube between air filter and TB

on a 2002 pontiac sunfire 4cly, on the tube that goes from the airfilter to the airbox on the top of the motor, there is a connector that goes to a sensor.

What sensor is that?

It accidently had the wires tore out of the connector, and I got them back in there somewhat, but was wondering what the sensor was, if it will affect driveability, and if anything what connnector is that and where can it be bought?

Sorry about all the ?'s just trying to figure it out here quick since its the Gf's only vehicle.

It sounds like the air temperature sensor. Try an auto parts store or a GM dealer.
