Constant metallic/tinny sound from car?!

Hi I own a 97' Pontiac Grand Am gt sedan.
A constant highish-pitched metallic sound is coming from the very front of my car, underneath the hood, down there somewhere lol

I have no idea whats wrong. No warning lights are on. All the fluids are full.
I'm at a total loss, except that this sound is frigging annoying as all hell lol.

My guess would be the AC compressor bearing. Does the noise change with the ac running?

Check the idler pulley (belt tensioner). Bearing could be worn out. Pull the belt off and give the pulley a few spins. Feel for wobbles and listen for any rough noises.
