92 sunbird 2.0. Leaking coolant from last cylinder exhaust manifold bolt. the bolt has been sheared/broken off at block. some say head gasket, some say that particular bolt goes into water jacket and rusts thats why they break off. any thoughts?

the head gasket would be below the exhaust manifold. It is a possibity that the exhaust manifold bolt threads into the cooling jacket but for a definite answer check with a local machine shop that has worked on these type of heads.

Possibly a cracked head, all these use exhaust studs not bolts.....

It may be impossible to easy out the old stud ( steel in aluminum = welded)

Might try to have it drilled out on the car , thread repair insert added and sealer added to new stud first before a head replacement try.( cheaper way out)

Pic below.............showing exhaust studs

They are studs. I think today I'm gonna check and make sure theres no water in the cylinder. I hope not. I have called a couple places about drilling and tapping, and so far seems no one wants to mess with it. I guess if theres water in the cylinder it would be a waste of time any way. Thanks for the input
