coolant leak/ yellow sludge in oil

2002 Atek 3.4L 105000 miles FWD

Coolant has been leaking for 4-6 weeks. Seems to be coming from the drivers side under the hood. Refilling the reservoir every 3-5 days. Also have yellow sludge on the under side of the oil cap. No sign of it on the dipstick. Haven't noticed a lack of power or misfire.

Sounds like you may have a bad LIM gasket.

Yes lower intake manifold gasket may be bad or a blown head gasket

Whats the likelihood (if any) that the two problems are unrelated?
