Last week or so, I noticed that the car was running hot at idle but forgot to check my coolant. It was running hot at idle for a few days so I finally checked the coolant and it was completely empty so I filled it up. This morning, my fiance was getting in the car to go to work and I noticed a big puddle around the passenger front tire so I checked the coolant again and it was completely empty so I filled it back up. When she got back home, I checked it again and it had gone down but not all the way.

I haven't thoroughly checked it yet to see where the leak is coming from, but I noticed that there was a drip coming from the passenger side bottom engine mount (dog bone mount). So I was wondering, what is on the passenger side of the car that could leak coolant other then the overflow tank itself and the hoses running from it?

Btw, it's a 98 SE 2.4L.

If it's coming from the front of the engine I would look at the water pump. Best bet is to borrow/rent a pressure tester.

If it was the water pump, would/could it not leak all the time? Cause between the first time I filled it up and the time I noticed it leaking, there were a few days to a week in between and the car was driven daily.

Sorry dont understand fully what you are saying. Are you saying there are days when there is no noticeable leak? Again to confirm the source get your hands on a pressure tester and do not exceed the pressure on your cap.
