I have a 2.2 2001 Sunfire.
I had to replace the coolant inlet pipe and the other two metal pipes as they were corroded.
It seems the new inlet pipe has a slight leak where it enters the block. I guess I should have gotten a new rubber o-ring instead of using the old one.
Anway, I will get a new o-ring and also put some sealer on the join just to be sure.
I was sure I had bled the system fully. I noticed tonight the bottom radiator hose is cold after 30 mins driving and operating at normal temperature (just above 90). The heaters are throwing out heat and the engine is not overheating, but the bottom hose being cold doesn`t sound right. Warm yes, but cold? Sounds like my coolant is not circulating? Maybe I still have air in there.
As there are no radiator caps, how do we bleed these cars? I noticed the bleed screw, do we run them with the screw off until the coolant spurts out without any bubbles?
