What the hell size are the speakers in my 93's dash? I cant find any info anywhere on the size of them. Really would like to replace them asap so i have 4 working speakers instead of 2 and sometimes 3.

Mike, glad to see another NYer here , ( I'm from Rochester originaly, lived in Syracuse for a long time too. )

Older post........http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/front-speaker-choices-t115187.html

Most people say they put 6" speakers in the kick panels from what I read. but I dont see how its possible since my car doesnt have any.

Check www.CarDomain.com for other cars like yours , maybe someone has done it.

Check Ebay for speakers............some other links in the post above.

I cant help, I hardly listen to the car radio, I listen to the engine and the wind:D

I dont have kick panel speakers either. Guess ill keep looking around for the 3 1/2's or if i feel up to it go to autozone and buy the cheapy's they have for $14.99.

Crutchfield has 3 1/2" but not in the brands you wanted in your other post.

If 4" will work i have 2 4" alpines already.

Triming the dash hole will be necessary to make 4" speakers fit.........show us pics when you finish...............;)

Bought some 3.5's from autozone. One was a 4" on the passenger side and the driver side had a cheaper replacement that was barely working at all. Need a passenger cover now if anyone has one for sale.

Im checking ebay now. Its great having all 4 working instead of 2.

I've got JBLs all around. Got 'em on ebay. I wanna put a single DIN unit under the dash with a touch screen that hangs downward and hook the line level output to the factory stereo through the CD/Cassette inputs. The lower deck will drive an amp in the trunk with speakers behind the well liner and a sub in the middle. I'll still be able to get good AM reception with the factory radio at long range and crank tunes through the whole double system and use the display on the lower deck for a Raspberry Pi.
