I am getting "Service stabilizer system" the manual is not clear to me on this subject. I have the air leveler switch off but it has been off for weeks. Mess just showed up. Working on a 06 sv6 small engine.

have the computer code checked at autozone or similar parts store

Chapter two. Went to Auto Zone where the scanner showed it wasnt plugged in altho it was. The fellow said I had a fuse blowed and no power to the scanner. I pulled every fuse and tested them with a muitimeter and they all tested good. Unless there are fuses some where other than at the main panel under the hood. I did not get a message on the way home(about 20 miles) so that is where I am at present. The vehicle performs as good as it ever did.

Tried to have codes read but scanner said it wasnt plugged in,but it was. Operator said blown fuse somewhere. Pulled all fuses and checked with an ohmeter, all were good. Message did not appear on the 20 mile drive home.

Having trouble posting so if multiple messages come thru Im sorry. Had car scanned and operator said scanner did not read. His theory was a blown fuse. I came home and pulled all fuses and checked with multimeter none were bad. The fuses I checked were in the main panel under the hood.

You dont have owners manual? There typcially is another fuse panel in passenger compartment. Could be near glove box, center console, panel on driver side under dash, etc.

oldman: I also had problems posting ,for some reason there was a long delay for my post to hit the forum but the next day it was there and of course like you I double posted . Anyhow back to your problem there is a fuse panel inside the van on the side of the dash next to the passenger door you have to open up the door to see the panel.Maybe that is where the fuse is ??? Good luck ,I think you are doing the right thing by going to autozone for the code reading I believe it is free, wish I would have know that a few years ago when the stealership took my greenbacks .....

Oldman : I was just thinking ,the info I was giving you about the fuse panel location was for an 03 not sure if it the same on your 06 like melsg5 said check your owners manual .

Well I read the manual (something totally against the rules of manhood) It said there were fuses on the pass side and to remove a panel. Well I removed the kick panel and one under the glove box and there were no fuses in sight. Ill do some more looking but its 17 degrees, its dark and I was getting pissed, this could get costly. Thanks for the replies guys. Ill post back if I learn anything.

Well I found the fuses. The names of things hindered this somewhat. To me the instrument panel sets under the steering wheel, the dash goes across the car door to door. On the right end of the DASH that butts up to the door is a cap with a hole in it that makes you think it is a vent. Pry this off and there they are. Checked all with MM and no bad ones. Next step is to try another scanner.

Thanks Steel I didnt notice this post till today. I am going to hook up the air leveler tomorrow just in case it might be causing this and I will check for power at test port.

Ghapter six,, checked the test port for power and it shows power. Put level cont. switch back on and went to town,(7 mile) several stops and starts then home no error codes. Will be watching.

Glad to hear maybe the back end was too low and triggered some sensor for the stabilizer system ?

dash talking to me

Chapter 7 well after driving two days warning came back. Auto zones scanners only check ecm not bcm so I have an appt Mon to put her on a scanner that cost 10k we'll see.

dash talking to me

In case anyone is still looking. The guys high priced scanner wouldnt read the bcm codes either. So I said to hell with it Ill drive it till something shows up. Just returned from a 5500 mile trip and the light didnt come on till we were loading up to come home. Im thinking of restoring some 70s vehicles to have something to drive. These things are far to technical for daily drivers.
