Dexcool in an 88 fiero gt?

I think the previous owner used Dexcool antifreeze in the 88 GT I just bought. Can I drain and flush the system and use the "green stuff" to refill it? The overflow tank and the radiator have orange residue, but the engine doesn't seem to be "infected."

it came with green in it originally i would put green back in it.
