DIC shows all dashes

my 03 aztek shows all dashes along the driver information center below the speedometer. Also there is no display showing on the factory radio, and when the headlights come on at dusk I loose all dash lights except turn signal, bright indicator, ect, i even loose the light that indicates that the A/C is on. Any suggestions on troubleshooting this? Would a new instrument cluster fix this? Or, am I just looking at a major headache and in search of an electrical problem?

did all these problems occur at the same time? have you checked for any blown fuses?

All fuses are good, the radio display went first, then the all dashes on the DIC, and now the issue with the dash lights at night. The only thing that works at night is the HUD, turn signal lights, bright beam indicator, other than that the dash is completely dark once the headlights come on, and I've checked the dimmer it's all the way up.

when you say the radio first I will asume you dont mean within a few minutes of each other. Based on that the LED bulb in the radio is burnt out. The radio has to come out and be opened up, you can either have it done proffessionally or goole it and you will find a DIY. The other problems could be related to the dash circuit board or the BCM, body control module. You would need a wiring diagram and the diagnostic procedure for determining the problem. You can look in a Hanes or Chilton manual to see if there is enough information to enable you to DIY.

Ok, so changing out the BCM and or the Instrument Cluster should fix the issue with the dash lights and the DIC showing all dashes instead of driver information. Also, we are planning on replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket, so that will fix the issue with no lights on the radio. will replacing the instrument cause the milage to be incorrect, or is that retained elsewhere in the computer system of the car. I wouldnt change anything without confirming the cause. Too many people just slap parts on a problem and then get frustrated that the problem is still there. You could have a broken wire in a harness leading to either one of those components. The internet is just quessing no substitute for a skilled person actually checking the problem.
