...Grand Am? While I get my tranny fixed, I'm driving my dad's 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. Besides being the most underpowered car it's ever been my displeasure to drive, the automatic door locks are really getting on my nerves. Put it in gear, and the doors lock. Stop to pick up a passenger, "owait I gotta unlock the door sorry." Drop them off... "oh you gotta unlock it".

We don't have the keyless entry remotes. How do I disable the damn automatic locking?
I want to have power locks, I just want to disable whatever causes them to automatically lock/unlock.

pull the power lock breaker in the fuse panel on the driver's side of the dashboard, no more power locks..

to fix, replace breaker

Theres no way to disable the auto locks without disableing the lock system altogether unless you want to have someone go into the circuitry and remove the sensors for the lock system and bypass them ..
I have seen it done once or twice but the guy that did it was really upset when he was doing it as it was a pain to do..
the only ones I would know that could do it would be a dealership ..depending on the year you may be able to program it out but I believe the 94s are too old ..
