New to the group, having just bought a 64 Catalina. Thinking of putting disc brakes on front atleast. Any input from someone who has done this would be appreciated. New kits or used from other vehicles? Thanks in advance.
If you don't want to have to change your spindles I would Recommend Scarebird kits. You still have to buy the recommended brake parts, but his kits allow you to just bolt the parts onto your existing 64 spindles.
I have not done it, but the advantage of 69 and 70 cars is they can use the stock parts with the single cylinder calipers. Those parts were used for the next 15 years or so.
