Hello - New to the forum - 1st post - Need some help - 2002 Sunfire - Something is draining the battery - Put new fully charged battery in 2 weeks ago - Drove car that day then it sat for three days and started right up when I went out to use it - Sat for one day and went out to start it and it was dead - pulled battery and put on charger - charger said it was 5% charged - am charging the battery right now - this has been happening for a couple months now, so I replaced the battery thinking it just wasn't holding a good charge since it was about six years old - now it continues to happen with new battery - I've checked obvious things like something being left on - could the security system be the culprit?? I'm no mechanic so any help/advice/comments would be greatly appreciated - Thank You in advance!!

First you have to check the charging system, alternator, to see if it's working. If it is then you have to check for current draw with everything off and assuming you have a reading start pulling fuses until you find the circuit causing the draw.
