do 22 inch rims cause damage to the suspension of a 2002 trans am? could I just change to original and

b ok? I am thinking about buying this car but am concrned about the possible damage to the ws6 performance package

anytime you add wheels, it will mess with the suspension. like the last answer. I wouldnt go more that 2" above the stock size. anything other than the factory wheels will change ur MPG and ur speedometer. a good website to checkout for tire/wheel size is discounttire.com good luck

A Trans Am needs some 16' or 17' rims, 22' is just wayyy to big and it will affect speed and mpg.

You definately would not care for the ride with that large of a rim and they usually wouldent fit anyway without major mods to the chassis and body ..
stick with 17-18s max and a decent aspect ratio tire to enjoy the handleing and ride of the suspension ..
too low an aspect ratio just gives you a nasty ride and dents rims (expensive ones)
