Do 80's vintage Pontiac Firebirds have the same muffler as the Pontiac Fiero?

I've been wanting to put a Flowmaster 80's Series muffler on my '88 Formula Fiero. Only problem is, on Flowmaster's website on the list of makes and models this particular muffler will fit on, the Fiero is not listed, only the Firebird for the year of '88. I was wondering if they were interchangeable or not.

I know there's a Youtube video out there of an 88 Fiero GT with a Flowmaster 80's Series muffler on it, according to the description, not the title of the video.

It is not a direct fit, But if you change the pipes to 2.5" It will work fine.
The Fiero uses 2.0" pipes. So you can just come out of the catalytic converter with 2.5" pipe and run it to the muffler and to new tail pipes. The muffler will physically fit. It's the size of the pipes that cause it not to be a direct fit.
