Do you think that the 2008 pontiac solstice would be a good first car?

So i'm doing some car research for my little sister who is 17. She wants this Pontiac Solstice, and in safety reviews it seems like a safe car, but it just doesn't look like a good car for a new driver. Can anybody who has any experience with this model tell me what you think about it, and if they would suggest it? Thanks. :)
Here's the car.

Is Solstice a good 1st car

Well Pending on where you live and the amount of snow you will get during the winter i have owned my coupefor a year, ( Id find a coupe ) this would have a LITTLE more cargo space compared to the convertible well If she is open to riding around with one friend and minimised what she takes with her ( with the coupe, you have a trunk cargo area of 5.5 cu ft with the convertible you will have limited space and you have to Unlatch the top before opening the decklid

( which is also the boot cover to store the convertible top under its a 3 step process its not a daughting process....there is a storage space under the convertibles deck-lid With the top up and latch to the windshield you'd have a little more space.. This picture give you an Idea how much cargo room it has
