Hey guys, so I bought an Aztek (love it) and it has a quirk. The key works for the ignition, but not for the door or the trunk. I've tried searching all over eBay and Amazon and Google for a replacement lock and key set but all that turns up is the dang ignition cylinder. On the GM parts website it says the door lock cylinder is discontinued? Is there some way I can replace the door and trunk cylinders and get keys to them? I hate relying only on my key fob to open the trunk and unlock the doors. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Johnny

Did you try a GM dealer or automobile locksmith to have a key cut by VIN?

I didn't even know a locksmith could make a key by reading the VIN, that's news to me. Im really just trying to do it myself with the proper parts, but if the proper parts aren't available then I guess I have no choice. I really don't like stealerships, they charge ridiculous prices for such small things. But I guess I'll hit up a locksmith and see what they say, just seems like there should be a replacement kit somewhere, like off a Buick Rendezvous or something.

Same discontinued part number on the Rendezvous and it was uncoded so again needs a locksmith.
