Hi i got a issue with both of my front doors catching on the fenders. I was wondering if this is a common issue on these and is there a way to fix it. I didnt see any adjustments on the fenders anywhere. and the doors seem to line up right. But my fenders at the bottom by the doors does seem loose. its just a pain in the buttt to see if the bolt is there or even rusted threw. But the car doesnt have any rust on it what so ever and the under carrage is clean also. Any help would be highly apprieted thanks

Assuming the car wasnt in an accident the hinges are probably worn. With the door half way open grab the end of the door and rock it up and down and notice if there is play in the hinges.

nope car was never in a accident and the hinges seem tight. it catches the fender right in the middle of the door.

i did try to adjust the fenders and didnt see no adjustment spots. all the holes was a solid hole not slotted like most vehicles. how do i go about adjusting the doors

I meant to move the fender where it hits the door, being careful to not damage the paint.

I am having the same problem and now the doors won't open at all. Did you ever find a fix?

This 7 year old thread advised that the cause is probably worn door hinges assuming their is no accident history or evidence of frame rot.

Same problem with my grand am gt. Seen a vid on how to fix using a piece of cardboard. Easy fix. Check you tube.
