My driver side headlights do not work, the passenger side works fine. The bulbs are good, and the fuses are good. I heard that there is a wire that goes under the battery that gets garfed up, is this true and a good place to start looking? Also, for some reason, when the headlights are off the bad side gets 14v going through the plug, but when the headlights are on it gets about .3 - .4 volts. If anyone has any idea on what could cause this, I would love the help. If I can't figure it out, I have decided that I am gonna rewire the headlights to another switch on the dash, just because I can lol. Thanks in advance

Behind the drivers side headlight capsule and behind the windshield washer bottle there is a wiring harness that feeds the headlights, open it up to inspect the wiring. There are numerous factory wire splices that will be corroded. Replace those splices, replace any wires that look corroded and turning green or black. While your in the same area follow that same harness to beneath the battery tray, there you'll find a multi ground connector. Check that for corrosion or melted terminals.
You'll need to remove the plastic inner fender and the washer bottle to do this!

thanks! I am gonna be doin that this weekend. Although, I think it would be kinda cool to have a toggle switch for the headlights on the dash haha.

Question about the wiring harness. I have been doing a little bit of reading and it seems that this problem will just keep happening over and over again. Do you think it would be worth rewiring it altogether?

by all means, if you can rewire it better, do it. its always worth it.

if you have drl lights it sounds like the relay . it in the fuse box . it may be unplugged or missing.

drl relay in the fuse box i suspect.

Sorry for the delay in response, been busy and haven't been able to get on here. The DRL relay was still good, so I am assuming that it has to be the wiring harness. For a temporary fix until the weather breaks, I was able to tie the driver side in with the passanger lights. I am sure that the drl relay is fried now because thats not working anymore, but what ever, I can replace that after I rewire the harness. Thank you everyone for the advice and help.
