Driver side brake light on 99 pontiac grand am fails to turn on sometimes. any ideas?

The circuit board built into the back of the light can fail, especially if it gets wet. Don't go to a dealer though, as the boards run like $400 dealer. Find someone that knows electronics and has a good multi-meter to check continunuity on all the circuit traces from connector to bulb socket to confirm the problem lies there.
