I have a 2000 Pontiac FireBird Convertible, which I bought in 2000 and I just started having an electrical issue starting last week. I went to start my car and before I could the power died, so I got out and checked the cables and went back and the car started. Later when I got home I went to turn the lights off and mid-closing the power went out. I got out and popped the hood. The second I touched the hood the power came back on and the lights closed.

I didn't have an issue with it for a few days, but tonight I got home and the issue happened when I closed the lights again. I got out and jiggled the + and - cords to the battery and the power came back on. Any ideas? I had power issues last summer and I replaced the BCM and the problem was solved, but this seems different. The battery is a year old, so could the cables or connections be bad? Thanks.
