Electrical Issues

Hi and thanks for helping me

I have a 2000 Pontiac Montana with 220,000 miles

I'm hoping for help because I can't afford to take my van into the shop. Here are the issues and sorry if I don't use right terminology :0

1. Car chimes when I open drivers door, even when I have the key out. All lights are off.
2. The lights that light up speedometer and fuel gage don't work.
3. The lights on back of van don't work at night, I do have brake and turning lights but the running lights don't come on.

All of these problems seems to have started at the same time and I need help

wow this is a tough one....... Have you checked your fuses for a bad one or two ? Next thing is to look at the wiring harness that goes from the front to the back that controls the parking lights. U might find that harness under the carpet with a couple of wires shorted out causing all this mess. Try doing some searches on this forum and see if anyone else knows where the harness runs. Good luck and keep us posted.
